Customer Screen

Q: How do I delete a sub-set of records? For example, I want to delete all of my customers from Texas. Is there a fast way to do this?
A: Currently, there is no "group delete" option. You can either delete customers one at a time, or delete them all.
We will be adding this feature in a later update. Until then, here's a way to do it:
• From the form view of the Customers Screen, do a search for the group that you want to delete. In the example, you would click on the Find button, then type TX (for Texas) into the State field. Hit Return, and the Current Action Set would be just Texas customers.
• Click on the List button to switch to List view. You'll see each customer listed in a row.
• Click on the Delete button for each customer. (Hold down the Shift key while clicking the Delete button to suppress the confirmation warning.)
Q: How do I copy the same value to the same field of every record in the database, or in the Current Action Set? For example, I want to add the notes "Imported from old database. " to the Customer Notes field of every record that I imported from a previous database.
A: Use the menu command 'Copy to CAS' from the File menu. With this command you have the option to either REPLACE (all field contents) or INSERT data (while retaining the current data in the field) into almost any field.
