Contracts Screen

Q: How do I paste in a contract from my word processor without losing formatting?
A: It depends on the word processor that you use.
• Microsoft Word™
For some reason, contracts pasted from Microsoft Word™ lose their formatting. And items that were set to bold font are changed to plain text. And, in some cases, the font is even changed. Although, we have see this strange result: If the first time that you paste in your document from Word, the font changes, then select all and just paste the exact same thing again, and the correct font will be selected. We don't know why this happens, but it does.
• Pages for Macintosh and other word processors that use Rich Text Format (except Word)
We have had success in pasting in documents that are created in TextEdit (for Mac) and Pages (for Mac). All of the formatting stays intact when it is copied from these into the Contract body text field in MagicBase Pro.
But, once the text is pasted in, you may change the formatting as you like by using the Format menu in MagicBase Pro. After you've changed your contract the way that you want it, be sure to click on the Save Custom button to keep it for later use!
